| Clothing attire: Leotards may be short sleeve, cap, or tank. Skirts should be all one length around and should be short – about two inches below buttocks<<< Preballet 2.5-3: Pink dance dress (leotard with attached skirt). Preballet OR preballet/tap or preballet/lyrical/tap OR preballet/jazz/tap 3-5 or PK-JK: Pink leotard, plain short pink skirt unattached. Preballet OR preballet/tap OR preballet/lyrical/tap OR preballet/jazz/tap 5-7yrs or SK-1st Light blue leotard, plain short light blue skirt unattached. Ballet I: White (lined) leotard, plain short white skirt unattached. Ballet II: Royal blue leotard, plain matching short skirt unattached. Ballet Int/Adv and Adv: Black leotard, simple style with no criss crossing straps, or cutouts on back. Please do not wear a visible sports bra. . Ballet shoes, tights and hair: Preballet: Pink leather or canvas ballet slippers. Pink tights or white bobby socks. Neat ponytail, bun, or pigtails completely off face and neck. Preballet/tap OR Preballet/lyrical/tap OR Preballet/jazz/tap: Pink tights or white bobby socks, pink leather or canvas ballet slippers and tap shoes. You do not need jazz shoes or pants except possibly in recital. Neat pony tail completely off face and neck. Ballet I, II, III, Int/Adv Ballet & Adv: Pink leather or canvas ballet slippers. Pink tights OR white bobby socks for Ballet I. Peach tights for all other upper ballet levels. A bun is required: Slick back your hair (with water if needed) into a tight ponytail. Wrap hair into bun with pins. Secure with sheer hair net and more pins. No stray hairs and minimal bangs. Other dance classes attire: Jazz, lyrical, or musical theater: Black long jazz or yoga pants (boot leg or slight flare), solid leotard any color, hair in ponytail completely off face and neck. Black jazz or tap shoes - pull on or tie shoes. Tumbling: Any color leotard. Or solid color no-logo tshirt (should fit tight so doesn't fly up). Choice of pants: short pants of solid color (no logo), or sweat pants, or black leggings form fitting, capri or long, or yoga pants. No jeans. Bare feet, ballet slippers or gymnastic shoes. Hair in pony tail completely off face and neck. Adult Ballet: Leotard any color, pink or black tights or sweats that show ankles. Skirt optional. Pink ballet slippers. Hair in ponytail, bun or twist. Adult Classical Conditioning: Leotard or form fitting dance top (stomach covered completely), pink or black tights or sweats that show ankles. Skirt optional. Pink ballet slippers. Hair in ponytail, bun or twist. Theater or Voice: Regular clothes. Hair up off face in barettes, headband, ponytail, or half ponytail. |

| Where to find shoes and attire: Please make sure your ballet shoes are leather or canvas, not the shoes that look like bedroom slippers. Target does not have the appropriate ballet slippers. Dancers in Ballet ages 7-9yrs and older and other older levels should buy their slippers at a ballet store to be sure the shoe fits like a glove. Ballet shoes and dancewear attire are available at Barbara's Dancewear (10% discount if you say you are from Children’s Ballet). Or Cordova Dancewear. | Parent Observation and Recital Classroom Parent Observation for all levels except 2.5-3yrs, is held on the last week of each session – Fall, Winter, Summer. An optional fun and exciting recital is held in a theater in May for all locations, ages 3-5yrs and up. There will be a Recital Fee, and tickets sold to help pay for expenses including costumes, theater rental, stage directors, sound and light technicians, teachers backstage, and music recordings. Each child receives two complimentary tickets. |

| Children’s Ballet Theater Nutcracker – Student and Professional Performance Students age 5-7yrs (SK-1st) up to age 17, professionals and adult volunteers may participate in the Nutcracker. Auditions are held in the Fall for enrolled students (5-7yrs and Ballet I do not need to audition). Professionals and adult volunteers may audition at any time. Please email us at info@balletchildren.com for information. There is no fee to participate. Expenses are covered by ticket sales. There are no complimentary tickets. |

| Children’s Ballet Theater office: 4745 Poplar, Suite 212. In the T-Mobile Building to the right of Dan West. Buckman Performing Arts Center, home Children's Ballet Theater : 60 Perkins Rd. Ext. - SE corner of Walnut Grove and Perkins Ext. on the St Mary’s campus. Enter the south entrance of the building. Studio is immediately to the right.Holy Communion Studio: 4645 Walnut Grove – Go directly behind the church. Park in lot. Look for gym sign. Go down stairs. Dance studio is directly across from the gym entrance door. Colonial Park Church Dance Room: 5330 Park Ave. - The church is located at the corner of Park and Estate -enter the driveway on Estate. Park in the lot on Estate where the "Parents Day Out" is located. Look for the black and yellow "Children's Ballet" sign that points down a little sidewalk. Go down the little sidewalk to the single glass door. Enter and head upstairs to the dance room. If you are going to the gym, go around the other side of the church to where the playground is. You may enter the side door on the gym. The door faces the playground. Christ Methodist Dance Studio: 411 Grove Park. - The church and school are across from Oak Court Mall in East Memphis near the U of M. Classes are in the Beaty Buiding in the dance and aerobics studio. Go Poplar to Grove Park. Turn north down Grove Park. Go to parking lot next to Beaty Activities Building on Grove Park. Enter side door of Beaty building, you will see the sign "Rogers Center". Ask the reception desk where to go. St. George School in Germantown: 8250 Poplar Ave. East on Poplar past Germantown Parkway. After ½ mile start looking for Kimbrough. Go past Kimbrough and immediately turn left into St George School entrance on Poplar. Go inside school to office and ask for dance room. |
